Coding Party

The GU Women Coders are having a coding party!!  It is open to female students (undergraduate
and graduate), faculty, and staff. YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CODE!! 

We have coding activities planned for women coders of all levels - beginners, intermediate, advanced. 

- There will be prizes for completing "Around the World of Coding" activities. 
- There will be prizes for different "Amazing Coding Race" challenges.

If you have always wanted to try coding, now is your chance - come to our coding party!!

If you have tried coding, but want to learn something new, now is your chance - come to our coding party!!

If you are an expert coder, and want to try to code something cool - come to our coding party!!

We will teach you how to:
- Create game code
- Build sophisticated Wordpress pages
- Build a picture gallery using Gallery
- Learn web publishing using Omeka
- Solve coding interview questions
- Build an app

There will be dinner.
There will be cupcakes.
There will be prizes (gift cards, Fitbit, Amazon Fire, Kindle, and more!!)

See you there - don't forget your laptop.

This will be a meet and greet for people interested in joining guWeCode and those already in guWeCode.

It will be a chance to learn how to make javascript web animations in 30 minutes.

GUWWC: Spring 2015 Lecture #1

Join GUWWC for our first lecture of the Spring 2015 semester! All skill levels are welcome.

This is the last 'core' programming lecture. Professor Singh will focus on teaching classes, objects, and writing the baking system using this new object-oriented model. There will be review games!

The lectures from last semester are available on Blackboard.

* Laptops are recommended, but not required.
* Bring pen & paper if you would like to take notes.
